Solitude

Solitude

Lately, people have been asking me,
“You have been quiet… is everything ok?”
“Why aren’t you hanging out like before?”

I get it when someone pulls back or goes quiet, it’s easy to think something’s wrong. But for me, choosing solitude isn’t about being sad or distant. It’s a choice to slow down and recharge.

Solitude is not the same as loneliness.
Loneliness feels like being left out.
Solitude means spending time with yourself and growing because of it.

Spending time alone helps you:
– Reconnect with your thoughts
– Lower stress and recharge your energy
– Build Self Awareness
– Think about what really matters to you

And it doesn’t have to be anything big. Sometimes, it’s just 10 minutes with a cup of coffee, a quiet walk, gardening, journaling, or even just sitting still.

So if you ever feel the need to step back or be quiet, don’t worry about what others might think. You are not broken or distant. You are giving yourself the space to heal and grow.

If someone cares, they will check in and that’s ok. But you don’t owe anyone an explanation for taking care of yourself.

Here’s a simple mindset shift:
Instead of saying, “I’m alone right now,” say, “I’m spending time with someone important – me.”

Take that break. Let your thoughts breathe.
Enjoy the power of solitude.
