I have been seeing many posts from colleagues impacted by the recent Oracle layoffs. Itโ€™s heart-breaking. Behind every โ€œbusiness decisionโ€ are real people, families, and careers.

If you are affected, please remember this moment does not define you.
You have built real things, solved real problems, and carried teams through chaos. That doesnโ€™t go away because a spreadsheet had to look better.

Take few days to pause.
Then begin again – stronger and clearer and with people who show up.

I have witnessed layoffs several times, and I know how difficult they can be. Yet, each time, new opportunities have emerged and they always do.

Here are a few lessons I have learned:
๐Ÿ”น Keep learning. Skills are your safety net.
๐Ÿ”น Focus on value. Make impact every day.
๐Ÿ”น Stay technical.
๐Ÿ”น Adapt with change. AI and new tech are rewriting the rules.
๐Ÿ”น Manage finances. Keep a buffer for hard times.

My ask to the Oracle community:
If you are a leader, support your people with introductions, recommendations, and real action.

At Kovaion Consulting, we have Oracle tech, sale and support roles open globally. Connect with me or Prasanna Krishnan – we would love to support you in any way we can.

Transitions are hard. But your next opportunity may be closer than you think. Letโ€™s walk each other home.
