Oracle Fusion Cloud Release 26B is now available, bringing several interesting capabilities across the platform. As expected, AI continues to play a major role, with new features designed to improve automation, productivity, and user experience.

Over the next few posts, I’ll share some of the updates that stood out to me. Let’s start with one from Oracle Recruiting Cloud.

Release 26B introduces the Recruiting Inbox Response Agent (available in Recruiting Booster), an AI-powered assistant that can automatically respond to candidate emails.

Built using Oracle AI Agent Studio, the agent leverages your organisation’s recruitment policies, FAQs, and process documentation to answer candidate queries.

Instead of recruiters manually replying to every candidate email, the agent handles routine questions using uploaded knowledge documents.

When a candidate sends an email:
• AI agent analyses the email
• Retrieves relevant information using RAG from uploaded documents
• Generates and sends a response automatically

The agent responds only when guardrails are met (for example: email has 5 questions or fewer and answers exist in the uploaded knowledge). Otherwise, the email is routed to the recruiter.

The agent won’t respond to questions related to:
• Salary comparisons
• Sensitive diversity or demographic questions
• Discriminatory topics
• Emails containing PII
These messages are automatically redirected to recruiters.

AI-generated replies appear in:
• Candidate profile Messages tab
• Message Center conversations
• Job requisition or application context
The system clearly distinguishes AI responses, automated emails, and recruiter conversations, ensuring transparency for the hiring team.

This feature may look simple on the surface, but it represents a significant shift in how recruiting operations will evolve. AI agents can handle the first layer of candidate interaction, allowing recruiters to focus on higher-value tasks such as engaging with top candidates and making hiring decisions.

This feature highlights an important shift in enterprise applications. We are moving from systems that simply store information to systems that actively interact, assist, and automate everyday processes.

AI is not just providing insight, it is handling operational communication, workflows and working alongside HR teams.
