Yesterday #Oracle launched Fusion Claw 🦞, and I think it may have changed the competitive question for #EnterpriseAI.
The market reaction was notable, but the architecture caught my attention. Here is my take:
Most enterprise platforms are racing to add copilots, agents, orchestration and autonomous workflows. Having AI is no longer the differentiator.
The real question is: Which platform can take AI from reasoning to trusted execution with the richest context, strongest governance and shortest path to action?
That is where Fusion Claw gets interesting. Fusion Claw is not just another AI-agent launch. It is Oracle making a serious play for the enterprise execution layer.
We already have AI that can summarise, analyse, recommend and reason. The harder problem is what happens after AI has finished thinking.
Can that reasoning become enterprise action – accurately, economically, securely and within organisational authority? Fusion Claw separates AI reasoning from deterministic execution. Let frontier models understand the objective and develop the plan, then use deterministic computation to execute at scale.
Use AI where intelligence matters.
Use computation where precision matters.
Use governance where authority matters.
Oracle’s bigger advantage may be context. Fusion spans Finance, HCM, Procurement, Projects, Supply Chain and Sales with employees, suppliers, ledgers, orders, approvals and business rules behind them.
That becomes powerful when AI moves from:
“Here is what I recommend.” to: “Here is what I executed.”
I also like that governance is built into the runtime. The Enterprise Operating Envelope defines what AI is authorised to do, while the Outcome Receipt provides evidence of what happened.
Enterprise autonomy needs authority, accountability and evidence.
Oracle now has 75 Agentic Applications, including 25 Claw-powered applications for complex, outcome-driven work.
But as a partner, my immediate thought was:
What should application #26 be for our customer?
For customers, this means rethinking complete business outcomes, not isolated AI use cases.
For partners, it creates a new canvas to combine industry knowledge, processes, agents and enterprise data into new ways of working.
The enterprise AI race is moving from who can think to who can execute safely at scale.
Oracle looks serious about that next layer – governed execution.
I can’t wait to get hands-on with Fusion Claw and see what customers and partners can reimagine, build and deliver next. 🦞
