Seek Understanding Before Judgment

Seek Understanding Before Judgment

Someone doesn’t call us back.
Someone forgets to invite us.
Someone says something that hurts us.

And before we know it, our mind has already written the story.

“They don’t care.”
“They did it on purpose.”
“I’m not important to them.”

Yet when we do the same things, we tell ourselves a different story.

“I have had a busy week.”
“There was so much on my mind.”
“I never meant to hurt anyone.”

We judge others by their actions, but ourselves by our intentions.

The reality is that every person is navigating challenges we cannot see, carrying responsibilities we do not know about, and fighting battles they rarely talk about.

Not every silence is rejection.
Not every mistake is disrespect.
Not every harsh word comes from a bad heart.

Sometimes people are simply having a difficult chapter in their life.

A little empathy can save a friendship.
A little understanding can strengthen a relationship.
A little grace can make someone’s difficult chapter easier to carry.

Because relationships grow stronger when we seek to understand before we decide.
