The most awaited #OracleAPEX release is finally here!
Oracle APEX 26.1 is officially available, and I’m genuinely excited about what this release means for the future of enterprise application development.

Oracle APEX 26.1 is built for the AI era with enterprise trust at the center. And that is what makes this release important.

Today, many AI conversations focus on how quickly applications can be generated. But enterprise customers care about something deeper:
Can we trust what AI generates? Can we govern, understand and securely evolve? Oracle APEX 26.1 addresses exactly that challenge.

One of the most exciting innovations in this release is #APEXLang – Oracle’s open, declarative, human-readable application specification language.

Instead of AI generating opaque code, Oracle APEX focuses on generating application intent through structured metadata organizations can inspect, validate, review, secure, version control, and evolve.

Because enterprises do not just want AI-generated applications. They want AI-generated applications they can actually understand and govern.

What impressed me most was how deeply AI is integrated across the platform:
✔️AI Interactive Reports enabling natural language interactions with enterprise data while preserving transparency and access controls
✔️ AI Agents & AI Tools introducing governed conversational actions inside enterprise applications
✔️ Data Reporter enabling governed self-service reporting
✔️ Redwood-aligned Builder and Universal Theme refresh modernizing the developer and end-user experience

What excites me most is how we can take these capabilities to customers.

I see huge opportunities for organizations to modernize processes, build AI-enabled enterprise extensions faster, create conversational reporting experiences, and bring AI into enterprise workflows securely and transparently.

For Oracle Fusion customers, this opens up a very powerful innovation layer for enterprise extensions and intelligent business applications.

The future of enterprise development is no longer just about writing code faster. It is about building systems that are explainable, governed, conversational, AI-assisted, and enterprise-ready.

And #OracleAPEX26.1 feels like a major milestone in that journey.
